New Bombardier Approval for Micom Laboratories
Montreal, July 30, 2024—Laboratoires Micom is proud to announce that we recently obtained new approvals from Bombardier. These approvals strengthen our position as a leader in product and material testing for the aerospace industry.
Approval Details
Recognized for its corrosion and coating tests, Laboratoires Micom has obtained the following approvals from Bombardier.
Classification A – Subcontractors, according to QD 4.6-40 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPPLIERS
- This classification demonstrates that we meet Bombardier’s strict quality and performance standards for subcontractors. It validates our ability to provide reliable, high-quality services essential to Bombardier projects.
BAERD GEN-018 ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS FOR LABORATORIES – Field 5 Specialized Testing, as per capability list
- BAERD GEN-018 Champ 5A: Corrosion testing, Corrosion Resistance by Salt Spray
This test is important for assessing the durability of materials in corrosive environments in order to extend product life and reliability.
- BAERD GEN-018 Champ 5E: Evaluation of Paint
Paint evaluation is important to ensure that products’ protective coatings meet performance and aesthetic standards.
